1. Acceptance
By using Notebook (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. What the app does
Notebook is a free teaching tool for STEM educators. It lets you create, organize, and present interactive notebooks with text, math, code, and drawings. Your content is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to the cloud via your Google account.
3. Your content
You own everything you create. We don’t claim any rights to your notebooks, pages, or media. You can export or delete your data at any time.
4. Accounts
Sign-in is via Google OAuth. We store your Google user ID and email to associate your notebooks with your account. We don’t store your Google password.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use the app to host or distribute illegal content, malware, or spam. Don’t attempt to exploit the app’s infrastructure. Published notebooks must not contain harmful or abusive material.
6. Availability
The app is provided “as is” without warranty. We do our best to keep it running but can’t guarantee 100% uptime. We may change features, pricing, or discontinue the app with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any data loss, downtime, or damages arising from your use of the app.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
